Each child or young adult is met where they are. I offer a personalized approach based on their need areas. Evidence based treatments are used to teach students skills to manage stress effectively, cope with anxiety or anger, and reduce behavioral concerns. A combination of cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and play therapy techniques are regularly used in counseling sessions.

A team approach with family and school personnel is encouraged.  An individual plan will be developed based based on your child’s strengths and need areas.

Some of the benefits the child and family may experience from counseling include:

  • Set realistic goals

  • Reduce anxiety

  • Build effective communication skills

  • Build self advocacy skills

  • Learn conflict resolution and problem solving

  • Improve family relationships

  • Improve academic outcomes

  • Improve social skills

  • Boost self-confidence and hopefulness
