Tara Eddy, M.S., P.P.S, NCSP is a Licensed Educational Psychologist (License #3685) certified by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and currently practices in West Los Angeles and Sherman Oaks. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from New York University and graduated with honors from California State University Northridge (CSUN) with a Master’s Degree and Pupil Personnel Credential in Counseling and School Psychology. Working with children of all ages and backgrounds, she provides family consultation, counseling, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) process support. She conducts psycho-educational evaluations for children experiencing learning, social, emotional, or challenges, and consults with schools to improve programs and supports for their students.
Prior to her work as an Educational Psychologist, Tara worked for Eli Broad and The Broad Foundation managing educational grants for school districts. She was an integral part of the team that managed The Broad Prize, an annual grant that awarded $1 million to public school systems that demonstrated the greatest improvement and need. After four years with Broad, Tara decided to focus her attention to the one-on-one work with children and families enrolling in the masters program at CSUN. Upon graduation, she began working as a School Psychologist in the Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District, where she spent five years before opening her private practice.
Tara is the Founder of Feelings in Motion, a company producing therapeutic games for psychologists and social workers across the country. She enjoys working with and providing support to individual children and their families, as well as providing consultation, coaching, and support to schools and school districts, particularly in the areas of Anxiety Management, Mindfulness, Positive Behavior Support, and Motivation. When she isn't helping students and families, Tara enjoys spending time with her husband and baby girl, traveling and hiking.
